How To Prepare and Submit Your Films

Shortmoves is an International Festival for Short Movies. Therefore, films from all over the world are more than welcome. Films with languages other than German or English must at least have English subtitles.

Your films must not exceed a running time of 15 minutes, and you must hand in your preview copies as good quality MiniDV, DVD or Mpeg.
 For the final version, we must have another copy of your film(s) which must be in one of the following formats: AVI, DVD or 35mm. If you want to use any other format then please contact us in advance.

If you have queries on any issue, please don’t hesitate to contact us or take a look at our regulations, where we have summarized the most crucial information.

The most important steps are:

  1. To complete the Entry Form as either a PDF or Online (see below)
  2. To send us your well packed film(s) in the proper format
  3. Remember you must provide us with a stamped and addressed envelope if you want us to return your film(s)
  4. Finally, send everything to the following address:
